The first two weeks of ISM have been eye-opening as to what the rest of the year will look like. I am excited to begin researching international corporate law and setting up my informational interviews. The class will be extremely challenging on top of my five AP classes, but I am confident I will be able to manage my time. Within these two weeks, I created my digital portfolio with all of the requirements and prepared my introduction speech. I need to work on my speech more so that it is better organized and I also need to strengthen my delivery. I think I was successful in creating my digital portfolio, even though I changed my platform from Weebly to Wix due to my familiarity with Wix. Since the beginning of school, I have learned about the commitment ISM requires including the level of independence students have and the amount of work that is put into the final product. I like being in charge of my own learning since it is good preparation for college and you can get as much out of the class as you put into it. Next week I need to focus on building my contact list and getting it to 25. I plan to utilize Linkedin to find professionals in my field. Ideally, I will set up informational interviews, and by the end of the week, I will have developed my list of questions for the professionals.
