This past week I have evaluated my research speech in ISM and have been communicating with my mentor to make sure that I have permission to be in her office. My research speech was not the best I have ever given, due to my inconsistencies with the rubric. I did not include my secondary research from all of my research assessments which were an important component of the speech. I took a long time to explain all my interviews so I was over the time limit. For my next speech, I will make sure that I consult the rubric more closely and make sure that I’m below the time limit. I am also finishing setting up my first mentor visit and understanding the confidentiality agreement which is necessary for me to shadow in her office. I also got my invitations together to hand out over the past week. I had to figure out the dimensions of the card in order to make sure that it fit the card the way I wanted it to. All of the teachers I hand delivered my invitations to told me that they would be able to make it to the showcase. I plan to have my first mentor visit by the end of this week and to work more on my original work.
